Nusa Penida Entrance Fee 2026: Complete Cost Breakdown Before You Go

Everything you'll pay at Nusa Penida in 2026 โ€” retribution fee, attraction entry fees, parking costs, and optional add-ons. Accurate numbers from a local operator so you can budget your trip before you arrive.

Most visitors arrive at Nusa Penida without a clear picture of what they will actually pay on the day. The retribution fee is just the beginning โ€” several attractions charge their own entry fees on top, parking adds up across multiple stops, and optional experiences like swings and photography have their own prices. This guide covers every cost you will encounter, so there are no surprises when you get there.

The Nusa Penida Retribution Fee

All visitors โ€” domestic and international โ€” are required to pay a tourism retribution fee when entering Nusa Penida.

  • Adult: IDR 25,000
  • Child: IDR 15,000

This fee is paid once per visit and covers entry to Nusa Penida island. It also applies to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan if you are visiting those islands.

Important update for 2026: Since April 21, 2026, this fee must be purchased online before you travel โ€” you can no longer pay at a physical counter on the island. After purchasing, you will receive a QR code that is scanned when you arrive at the harbour. Screenshots or digital copies on your phone are both accepted.

If you book a tour package with a local operator, your driver will typically handle this for you โ€” you just show up and go.

Attraction Entrance Fees

Beyond the retribution fee, several specific attractions charge their own entry fee at the gate. Payment at these spots is cash only โ€” bring small rupiah bills.

Paluang CliffIDR 30,000Includes photos at the cliff viewpoint. Walking distance from Kelingking โ€” no separate parking fee

Optional Add-Ons

Some attractions offer paid experiences that are entirely optional but worth knowing about in advance:

  • Diamond Beach swing: IDR 200,000 per person
  • Rumah Pohon treehouse photo: IDR 75,000 per person โ€” this is a separate charge from the IDR 25,000 entry fee

Parking Fees

Every attraction on Nusa Penida charges a small parking fee at the entrance:

  • Car: IDR 10,000 per spot
  • Motorbike: IDR 5,000 per spot

If you book a tour package: parking is handled by your driver โ€” you will not be asked to pay anything at the gate.

If you hire a driver independently at the harbour: clarify before you leave who pays for parking. Some drivers cover it as part of the agreed rate; others will ask you to pay at each stop. Get this clear upfront to avoid confusion on the day โ€” especially across a full day of 5 or 6 stops.

What a Full Day Actually Costs

To give you a realistic picture, here is what a typical west coast day trip costs in entrance fees and parking (adult, private car):

ItemCost
Retribution feeIDR 25,000
Kelingking Beach parking (includes Paluang)IDR 10,000
Paluang Cliff entryIDR 30,000
Broken Beach parkingIDR 10,000
Angel's Billabong parkingIDR 10,000
Crystal Bay parkingIDR 10,000
TotalIDR 95,000

East coast adds Diamond Beach + Atuh entry (IDR 35,000) and Rumah Pohon entry (IDR 25,000) on top.

This does not include the tour or transport cost itself โ€” just the fees at the gates.

Tips to Avoid Paying More Than You Should

Buy your retribution fee online before you travel. Since April 2026, on-arrival cash payment is no longer available. Do this before you book your boat.

Bring cash in small bills. Attraction gates do not accept cards or QRIS. IDR 10,000 and IDR 20,000 notes are ideal โ€” change at gates is not always available.

ATMs are limited. The only reliable ATMs on the island are in Toyapakeh town near the harbour. Withdraw before you leave Bali or immediately on arrival if needed.

Clarify parking with your driver upfront. If you hire independently, a simple question before you leave saves awkward conversations at every stop.

Book a tour package if you want zero hassle. Retribution, parking, and all logistics are handled by your driver. You focus on the views.
